This explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, where it goes and how to get it removed. Last updated 21 September 2026.
This website is operated by Seogurus ([insert registered legal entity name and ABN]), near Carlingford Court, Carlingford NSW 2118. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that entity. You can reach us at hello@seogurus.au.
We only collect personal information you choose to give us. There are two places on this site where that happens: the contact form and the chat window.
If you submit the contact form, we receive:
If you use the chat window, we receive your email address, your website, your industry, the problem you selected and your name.
Alongside either of those, our server automatically records the date and time of the submission, the IP address the submission came from, the browser user agent string, and which page you were on when you submitted. We keep these to help identify spam and abuse.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, government identifiers, or health information. Please do not include them in the notes field.
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, to prepare the visibility audit you asked for, and to contact you about the work. If you become a client, we use your contact details to run the engagement. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Submissions are written to a file on our web server that is not accessible from the internet, and a copy is emailed to our team inbox so we can respond. That inbox is a Google Gmail account, which means Google processes the contents of that email as part of providing the service. Google stores and processes data outside Australia, including in the United States. By sending us an enquiry you consent to that overseas disclosure.
Access is limited to the people at Seogurus who need it to answer you.
This website does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To serve them, Google receives your IP address and basic browser information. This happens on every page, and it happens before you interact with anything.
We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and which pages generate enquiries. Where it is enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and Google processes that data, including outside Australia. If you would rather not be measured, most browsers let you block cookies, and Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on.
We keep enquiry records for [insert your retention period, for example 24 months] from your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we are required to keep them longer. Client records are kept for as long as the engagement runs and for the period afterwards that our tax and record-keeping obligations require.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@seogurus.au and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first so we do not hand your details to someone else.
There is no cost to make a request. If we refuse one, we will tell you why in writing.
The site is served over HTTPS and the stored enquiry file is blocked from public access at the web server. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee against every possible breach. If a breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at hello@seogurus.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
Email us and a person will answer. No ticket system, no runaround.
